Do you ever wish your holiday spending could do a little more good? On Sunday, November 30th, you can shop with a purpose at the Mark Twain Store for Museum Store Sunday.
What's Museum Store Sunday? We're glad you asked! Museum Store Sunday is an global initiative that cultural institutions all over the country participate in, to encourage people to do their holiday shopping at Museum Stores. When you purchase a gift from a museum store, you help to sustain a museum’s service to their community and the public, and you find specially curated items that you cannot find in big box stores or on Amazon. Many items featured are created and supplied by local artisans, designers, manufacturers and other small makers. When you make a purchase from a museum store, you are also supporting local, regional, and national businesses.
Here at the Mark Twain Store from 10:00am to 4:00pm we'll be celebrating in-person with complimentary mimosas and baked goods for shoppers, free gifts with every purchase, and a trunk show with glass artist Barbara Levy. Too far away to visit us in person? Online shoppers can celebrate too with free shipping and free gifts with every purchase.
While there is only one Museum Store Sunday each year, and we hope you will spend it with the Mark Twain Store, we encourage you to “Shop With Purpose” at museum stores throughout the year. You can shop with purpose by simply taking your family to a museum in your home town, by becoming a member of a cultural institution, or by shopping online at your favorite museums. However you choose to shop with purpose, we thank you!
